The needle like leaves of rosemary give a unique flavor to beef and other meats. Plant in a well drained area or container and allow to dry between watering.

If you bring it in for the winter make sure you do so before the first frost. The plant needs at least 6 hours of sun a day. It may not grow during the winter but will get a new flush of growth when put out for the summer after the risk of frost.
